Guess, How Old I Am? Have you encounter that kind of question while talking to someone? Well I have... a lot of times...
It is a silly and tough question, seems like harmless, but actually could be a deadly question. I learned that fact the hard way.
Someone asked me that question. I bluntly guessed and answer that his age is about 70 years old wich turn out that I am WRONG. He actually a lot younger than my guess.
After he tell his actual age, the situation become really awkward, because indirectly, my guesstimate says that he looks older than he is (which alot of people take it as a hard fact ; uglier)
Right from that time, I resolute to myself that if ever someone ask me that question, I will use a formula for my answer. I will say to that person that his/her age is (my guesstimate age minus 20 years!)
So, supposed someone asked me that question. If I guess that (s)he is 70 years old, I will say to him/her that I guess his/her age is 50 years. They will certainly say that I guess wrong, but I will gladly tell him/her that (s)he looks younger!!
Oooh, what a delight they will feel. Yes, alot of people, especially adult, and more especially female, like to know that they look younger, fresher, prettier, or more handsome, than their actual age...
Did I lie? To me it is not lie. After all we are guessing right?
